Creative Dwellings LLC is located in Mendon, New York.

This venture, artistically inspired by materials & techniques, is the driving force behind my work. But one of the greatest things about being an artist is getting to use color all of the time. It’s that element that brings my projects to life & allows me to express my intentions. It can be found the world over & making sure it plays an essential role is always a priority.

Since a young age I have worked in crayons, (which were often taken away because I used the walls instead of paper) paints & mosaics. As a teenager, I sewed my own clothes. I’ve always been drawn to colors, patterns & a love for fabric. Sewing, & the fine art of tailoring, has been in my family for generations. As an accomplished seamstress for many years, not only the finished & embellished techniques that give my projects a professional touch, but a love for decorating, designing, & re staging are all essential to Creative Dwellings.

My studio is filled with fabrics & machines & ideas. There is no limit as to what will inspire me. I have sewn drapes, curtains, pillows & quilts to accessorize many a home. You can find my window treatments hanging in local restaurants. A baby nursery or two has my loving touch. My ‘New York Beauty’ quilt has been displayed in accredited quilt shows. Helping to select new colors for a home, rearrange furniture, or choosing a new style are all projects that I welcome. Found objects become new again! A love for painting an old desk or table or even a chair is more than a mere hobby. It becomes a work of art. An ottoman, tossed by the road for pick up, becomes a centerpiece once it has been re-upholstered & given new life with fabrics & trims.

Schooling in the fine arts & working in an established art gallery for the last 12 years has given me the edge on design, style, working with valued clients, & understanding the importance of today’s values, both in the market place & interior fashions.
